From Scratch: Peasant blouse

So, I absolutely love this top I recently bought at a thrift store (first pic). I decided I’d try to recreate it with some scrap fabric I had. I took 1 yard of fabric and laid the top over it to trace. I had to add to the sleeves since I only had 1 yard😉

This was the first time I’ve ever used elastic and it was much simpler than I thought. I used a very thin piece of elastic on the sleeves and used a zig zag stitch over it while I held it taut. For the neckline, I took a thicker piece of elastic and sewed the ends together to make it into a circle. Then, I sewed it loose inside of the neckline (not on the elastic like the sleeves). Hope you like it!
