Refashion: maternity shirt into 2 toddler maxi skirts

I made my daughter 5 skirts yesterday. I couldn’t help myself with how cute she looks in them!

I took an old maternity top.

I chopped off the top portion so I could use the bottom.

My daughter, although only 17 mos, is thin so I cut the bottom portion of the shirt in half in order to make two skirts.

So, I took the first piece and folded it with the right sides facing eachother. I then sewed up the side.

And created this really cute toddler skirt.

Next, I took the other piece to create a second skirt. I grabbed a scrap piece of fabric to use as a waistband.

I sewed up the side and then added the pink waistband.

Now, my daughter has two more long maxi skirts!
