Refashion: long-sleeve shirt to cute tee

My husband bought me this cute long-sleeve shirt last winter. I love peace signs!

I chopped off the neckline ribbing to create a wider neckline.

I cut off the bottom hem because I like how knit curls up a bit with a raw edge.

I chopped the long-sleeves off too.

I turned the shirt inside out and pinned each side to create gathering (also took in the sides of the shirt to make it fitted).

Next, I used elastic thread in my bobbin to create gathered sleeves (make sure to set your machine to a longer stitch! I use 4.0 on my Brother).

And this is how it turned out!
