DIY beach cover-up tutorial with cute straps

As promised, I made another beach cover-up tonight. I used the same midnight blue knit fabric, but used a whole yard this time (fabric is 60″ wide).

I folded the fabric in half width wise and cut a small c shape on the top end pieces to fit under the arm.

I grabbed some cute scrap fabric to make the straps.

I cut two straps, leaving them open (instead of sewing into a tube) so that they could be worn thin or as wide straps.

I pinned them into place at the edge of both c shapes for the arm holes.

I then attached the straps.

I used the original picture from Pinterest to put the wrap on.

And now I have a super cute beach cover-up!
