I would like to learn to make my own patterns.
You hit the nail on the head….letting out and taking trousers is what I would like to see as a tutorial. Thank you.
Customizing store bought patterns would be great!

I am interested in the alterations to trousers.
Replacing straps on a dress with non-elastic adjustable versions.
All of the above! I would really like to learn to let out trousers, as I am currently in between sizes and don’t want to make new pants if I am continuing to lose weight.
Hemming pants with a cuff and taking in a bodice with boning.
Altering store bought patterns. Also resizing a blazer.
Would love to learn how to make my own patterns.
I think I would like to learn to alter trousers.
I have no butt, hips or thighs or legs , just spare tire, I am 4 ft. 11 in and even have to shorten some petites. I would love to know how to take the slack out of the hip and legs! I often say I am a marshmallow shape on toothpicks. I do alterations for others, can’t seem to make things fit for me! Is that not dumb? If I make from scratch, I can alter the pattern, but I love to go to thrift stores, garage sales, consignment stores, I want a bargain! I live on a very small fixed income therefore, I work at my church office two days a week, and do the sewing and alterations on the side. I like my my tops boxy and not clingy. I love your fashion and your styles. I will be in N CA in Oct, wish I could see you in person and try on some of your designs. You rock! Joan Clouser

Taking in or letting out trousers, and hemming them. 🙂
I would LOVE to learn on how to alter store-bought patterns.
I would definitely love to learn all about how to alter a store bought pattern and your tutorials are awesome! Keep up the great work. 🙂
Hi!
I’m new here but was wondering if your tutorials will be on youtube (I hope so!)? I would love to learn how to make my own patterns (shirt and skinny pants patterns) and how to modify store-bought patterns.
I came here from your pin on how to hem jeans (I’m also short–5’1″) and I was so happy!
ZIPPERS!!!! I have a denim skirt it’s a little out of style. It sits to high on waist and is almost shaped as a medium to long triangle, very uncomfortabe. I want to turn it into mini skirt. Well the bottom, hem line is perfectly frayed and I want to keep that so I’m cutting from top because for 1, I hate the top and 2, I want it to be more hangy on the hips. This is where zipper comes in,, I’m going to remove zipper and reinstall but I have never put a zipper in much less in denim. OR, is there any other way to have a loose fastner?
I would LOVE to learn how to make my own patterns!
I would love to learn how to adjust and redesign commercial patterns to fit me perfectly! I do ad hoc adjustments here and there but am never 100% sure if I’m doing it right.
Altering store bought patterns & making my own (especially for the rapidly growing kiddo…who has now hit that “tween” stage where there are faaaaaar fewer pattern choices!)
All dem’. But pattern making especially 😀 thank you. You have a great blog
I have all these long (boring) dresses with zippers I want to refashion them into knee (fun) length dresses. So a how to remove/replace/shorten zippers tutorial.
