  1. I did this with my husbands jeans. Unfortunately they started unraveling at the the cut off. I top stitched and double stitched but still the same problem.

    1. Janeen, maybe using jean thread would work better? I have used this technique now for several years. Are you having trouble with the stitching unraveling or the denim?
